about our brood mares

Lei Huua

Matriarch of the Westbrook mares is the purebred Arabian mare, Lei Huua.

Foaled in 1986, she is by the Baskfibia son El Fara Khalif, out of HC Lindie.

Both sides of Lei's pedigree have multiple National Champions in both halter and performance. Lei has always been athletic and energetic, a true "drinker of the wind."  Lei passed on her enthusiasm and willingness to learn to her two daughters, Huadoresya and WB Heleina.

Huadoresya+   "Annie"
Foaled in 1993, by Retador, out of Lei Huua.

"Annie" was the only one of Lei's daughters to produce a foal, a 1996 Trakehner son, WB Corre Con El Viento.  Sadly, we lost "Annie" in 2010 to leukemia. Much has been written about this little mare and her adventures around the country.  She was competetive at the intermediate level in eventing and carried a junior rider to the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.  Her only foal is WB Corre Con El Viento.

Kalana Magniffica
Foaled in 2001 by US National Champion Stallion, Echo Magnificoo, out of RA Fames Kapuni. Kalana spent most of her first nine years turned out with a herd until she came to Westbrook Sport Horses. She is the dam of Kendric Wind GM+/, g. 2012, Karolina Wind GM f. 2015 and Kan You Imagine GM c. 2017.

First Legacy GM ++/  currently in training, will eventually join our broodmare band.

Foaled April 25, 2010.   By WB Corre Con El Viento out of Kapuuni
